Debit Card Payment Entry Window

Use this window to enter debit card payments for the current transaction.

TypeThe payment type specified on the previous screen appears.

Amount

Card NumberEnter a card number up to 19 characters. Note that you cannot validate debit card numbers manually. You must swipe the card. If you swipe the card successfully, the card number displays in the field.

Authorization NumberEnter an authorization number up to 10 characters. Note that you cannot validate debit card authorization numbers manually. You must swipe the card. If you swipe the card successfully, the card number displays in the field.

 If the Card Swipe button is active, you can swipe a credit or debit card. After a successful card swipe, the appropriate payment type displays on the screen in the Type field. If the Card Swipe button is not active, either your swipe device is not connected properly, Signature Capture is not active on your system, or both.

If you select a debit payment from the grid to view or edit, you inactivate the Card Swipe button until you finish with the selected debit payment.
