Multiple Location Selection Window

This window appears at fields that allow your response to include multiple items. You can enter items directly into the field or click on the Search button to access the Multiple Selection Lookup window. Either way, the items you specify appear in the grid at the bottom of the window.

To enter items directly, press <Enter> when you have finished typing the name into the field. The item and it's description appear in the grid. If you enter the item incorrectly, an error message appears. Re-enter the item or use the Multiple Selection Lookup window to search for it.

The locations available to individual users can be affected by Regional Processing restrictions. That is, only locations to which you have access appear in the lookup.

The read-only version of this screen opens when accessed via a view routine, such as View Warehouse/Store Settings. In this version of the screen, you may only view the selection(s) already established for the associated field.

LocationEnter the code of the location you want to add to the selection grid below. Once you enter a valid code, click on the Add button. The code appears in the grid.  If you click on the Search button, the Multiple Selection Lookup Window appears from which you can choose one or more locations.

DescriptionOnce you specify a valid location, the description appears here.

RegionUse this field to populate the grid with locations associated with one or more selected regions.  You can enter the region code directly, or if you click on the Arrow, a list of regions appears from which you can select one. Once you select a region, all locations associated with the region display in the grid. You can then repeat the process to select another region, if desired.

This field is active only if Regional Processing is active on your system.

DistrictUse this field to populate the grid with locations associated with one or more selected districts.  You can enter the district code directly, or if you click on the Arrow, a list of districts appears from which you can select one. Once you select a district, all locations associated with the district display in the grid. You can then repeat the process to select another district, if desired.

This field is active only if Regional Processing is active on your system.

Items in the Grid

You can remove items in the grid. To remove all of the items in the grid, click on Delete at the bottom of the window. To remove a single item, double-click on it to select the item and activate the buttons to the right of the entry field. Then, click on Remove to remove the selected item from the grid.  To clear the current list from the grid, click on the Clear List button.

You can use the up and down arrows to navigate the list in the grid. If more records exist than can fit in the grid, you can use the scroll bar on the right side of the grid to view additional records. When you locate the desired record, highlight it and press Enter. You can also double-click on the record to select it.

When the grid contains all of the items you want, click OK. The systems returns to the previous screen. The current field displays "..." to indicate multiple items. To exit the Multiple Selection Window without specifying any products, click on Exit. You return to the previous screen.

Buttons on this Screen

• Add - Adds the item in the Location field to the grid.

• Clear - Clears the current item from the Location field.

• Remove - removes the selected item from the grid.  To remove a single item, double-click on it to select the item and activate the buttons to the right of the entry field.

• Up and Down arrows - navigate the list in the grid. If more records exist than can fit in the grid, you can use the scroll bar on the right side of the grid to view additional records. When you locate the desired record, highlight it and press Enter. You can also double-click on the record to select it.

• Clear List - Clears the current list from the grid.

• Save - When the grid contains all of the items you want, click Save. The systems returns to the previous screen on which, if you selected multiple locations,  the current field displays "...".

• Clear - clears the current list from the grid except for the locations that appeared when you first accessed this screen.  

• Delete - inactive on this screen.

• Exit - clears the current list from the grid except for the locations that appeared when you first accessed this screen and returns you to the previous screen.
