Assign Screen Action Permission

Use this routine to restrict user access to specific functions found on Actions button menus. Users can specify which actions for particular programs the user group can and cannot access. Actions buttons appear in various programs throughout STORIS, allowing you to access other relevant routines without having to exit your current routine and select the new routine from a menu.

When a user is denied access to a particular item on an Actions menu, that item is not included on the menu listing. In the event that a user is denied access to all items on a particular Actions menu, the Actions button is disabled.

The grid is the main working area for establishing Actions menu permissions for the selected User Group above. The grid displays the following columns for the Actions listed:

Check Box - This column allows the user to set the permission for the Action on that row. If the box is checked for a specific row, the User Group has access to the action. If the box is not checked, the User Group is restricted from the Action. Clicking the check box in the column header selects all of the rows; clicking the check box again deselects all rows.
Program - This column contains the Menu Title of the program where the Action in that row exists.
Tab - This column contains the Tab Title where the Action in that row can be found. If the program is not a tabbed screen, this field remains blank. If the action exists on multiple tabs for the same program, the field displays 'Multiple'.

Action - This column contains the Action description.
