Web Collection Settings

Use this routine to group together web products and/or kits with similar characteristics.

 To find web collections in eSTORIS, use the Search option.  

When a web collection has a soft kit as a component ...

   - that web collection cannot be an add-on for another product and

   - you cannot set the web collection as “one product per row”.

When WEB.COLLECTION is set to be tracked in Track Settings Activity, any changes made to a Web Collection are recorded. These changes can be viewed in Review Settings Activity.

Web Collection IDIf you are creating a new web collection, enter the name here. To edit or view an existing web collection, enter the name here or click on the Search button to choose from the list that appears.

General

DescriptionYou can enter up to 50 characters to describe this web collection. Click the Action button at this field to access the Description Field - Language Translation Entry screen, where you can translate the description text you entered for this collection.

Web CategoryEnter the code of the web category to which this collection belongs. You can click the Search button and select a code from the list of valid web categories.

Additional Web CategoriesEnter any additional eSTORIS web categories (that is, categories in addition to the primary category you specified in the field above) to which you want to assign this collection. If you click on the Search button, you access the Additional Web Categories window, from which you can make one or more selections.

Image ID

Available on WebCheck the box to indicate that this collection is available on the web.

One Product Per RowTo display items in this collection one item per row on the web, check the box at this field. The product code, description, and availability display on each row.  No dimensions or attributes display.

To display all products within this collection that share the same price and dimension on the same line, leave this box blank. The code, description, and availability do not display on each row.  The various attributes display in an attribute drop-down list.

Dimension TitleEnter the text to display as the column heading when dimensions are shown on the web.

Related ProductsYou can list products that you want shown for this collection in the Related Products section on the web. List the product codes in this field with a comma separating each code.

Collection BenefitsUse this free-text field to enter details for this collection.  The text you enter displays below the description on the web.   

Products

Use this tab to indicate the products to include in this web collection.

Product NumberUse this field to add products to, or remove products from, this web collection. To add a product to this collection, indicate the product code or click the Search button and use the Search for a Product screen to locate the code. Click the Add button to update the grid. To remove a product from this collection, double-click the product in the grid and then click the Remove button to update the grid.

DimensionEnter the height, width, and depth of this product to be shown on the web.

AttributeIndicate the Web Collection Attribute Settings ID to associate an attribute with this product.  

SEO

Use this tab to enter search engine optimization (SEO Search Engine Optimization - the process of improving rankings in search engine results.) information for world-wide-web searches of eSTORIS products.  The data you enter here provides content to the eSTORIS web page associated with the selected web collection.  This content assists in search engine optimization with the intention of improving the web page's ranking in search engine results, thus increasing the likelihood that customers searching the world wide web will find the web collection's eSTORIS web page.

KeywordsUse this field to enter keywords the SEO process can use to improve this web collection's ranking in search engine results.  You can enter as many keywords as you like for the selected web collection.  Separate each entry with a comma.

The keywords you enter here appear in the Keywords section of the web collection's web page.

Meta DescriptionEnter a Meta description of the web page associated with the selected web collection for use with the search engine optimization process.

Title TagEnter a title for the web page associated with this web collection. The text you enter here is reference by the SEO process.

Image Alt TagEnter the description you want to appear when a user hovers their mouse over the web collection image on eSTORIS. The text you enter here is reference by the SEO process.

SEO URLEnter an SEO URL Uniform Resource Locator - a global address of a document or other resource on the World Wide Web. for the web page associated with the selected web collection. When viewing this web collection on eSTORIS, the address you enter here displays in the address bar instead of the actual address.  The text you enter here is referenced by the SEO process.

Each URL must be unique, even across STORIS files.  For example, if the Web Collection file has sofas/luxury.aspx, then the Web Category file cannot use that same URL.
