Insurance Code Jurisdiction Settings

• Extended Receivables Insurance Code Settings > Action button at Jurisdiction Settings field

This is a mandatory setting that you use to indicate the location(s) where this insurance is available. You can also use this field in conjunction with the Available field (below) to specify the location in which this insurance is NOT available. In addition, you can indicate states that require a unique acceptance form, underwriter, and/or insurance rate.

You must indicate at least one jurisdiction in which the insurance is available. Only insurance codes associated with a location are available for selection at the Insurance field during revolving finance entry. The drop-down list you see when you click the Arrow button contains the jurisdictions where you have set up "Store" location types in STORIS. Once you select the jurisdiction, the following fields become active.

To indicate that this insurance plan is available in the specified jurisdiction, check the box at this field. To indicate that this insurance plan is not available in the selected jurisdiction, remove the check from the box.  

You can use this optional field to indicate an override amount that is to be used when calculating the monthly insurance payment in the selected jurisdiction.

If you enter an amount here, it overrides the default amount established in the Per $100 field on the previous screen, when calculating the insurance payment on plans sold in the selected jurisdiction. If no amount is entered here, the default amount established on the previous screen is used.

You can use this optional field to indicate the insurance underwriter that you do business with in the selected jurisdiction. Click the Arrow button and select the underwriter from the drop-down list.  

If the selected state requires a different insurance acceptance form, you can click the Arrow button and select the form template from the list. The list that you access includes all of the available insurance acceptance form templates on file in your system. If a form template is not selected, the form template that is designated "active" for your system is used when printing the acceptance document.

To update the grid with your selections click the Add (Plus) button. The grid displays the following columns.

• Jurisdiction

• Available

• Fee Per $100

• Underwriter

• Form Template

• Remove - To remove a line from the grid, click the Remove button on that line. A confirmation prompt displays asking if you want to delete the line.
